Hat Factory is Richmond’s premiere live entertainment venue. We host local, regional and national acts as well as the biggest dance nights in the area. It is an ideal location for special events, group functions and your next big party.
Hat Factory is located by the canal at Shockoe Bottom, in the historic Shockoe Slip district.
Originally built in 1896 to house the Virginia Paper Company, our building became home to the Lady Byrd Hat Factory in 1965 (hence our name). We’ve renovated the venue and used original materials to give it a unique character.
